1) It’s BLESS me father for I have sinned. Not FORGIVE me father for I have sinned.
Anyway, the priest today told me that as humans we all have feelings, but we also have will. He told me that feelings change, but our will shouldn’t change along with our feelings. Our will should prevail over our feelings. Just like when Jesus said, “Love your enemies.” Our feelings say that we should hate our enemies, but as Christians, our will to follow Jesus should overcome our feelings.
This helped me to realize that we all have feelings and it’s not wrong to have them. It’s natural. We express our emotions how we choose. It’s just that we also have a will to follow and we can’t let our feelings interfere with that.
